Erica is the last of my six character and at the time of design her age was 21 which makes her the oldest of my characters although like all my other characters her ages varies greatly. Unlike the rest of my characters Erica doesn't have much of a story apart from the small roles she plays in Cecilia's and Rynn's stories. As a character I find Erica quite difficult to work with and that's solely because of her horns. They are a huge character trail which makes her hard to adapt and meld with new situations.
Her first design fits in with a standard medieval setting and that was most accurately drawn by Zaphylla
The metal armor is her main feature and makes the medieval swordsman idea incredibily obvious, it also doubles as a way to make her seem stronger without making her look too muscular or tall. The horns also play a huge role in this design, unlike character traits such as Isabelle's ghostness or Alpha's robotic body I find it a challenge to fit a demon into a different setting other then medieval. However I find it quite interesting to consider that maybe she doesn't actually have horns but because she comes across as terrifying or demon like people spoke of her as a demon to others and that's why she's captured with horns in any art of her. That would all be in universe of course.
I did however manage to get the demon horns to work with one other outfit and I believe that Shadow2810 managed to draw that idea near perfectly.
In this version of her she ditches the armor and a few years but obtains another weapon which helps her retain the tough first look despite her mostly innocent appearance. This version of her exists separately to the armored version so their stories don't follow one another. Essentially this version of her is a completely new character but at the same time the exact same character she's always been. I strongly encourage character designers or anyone who designs character or should I say OC's for fun to consider this process before making a legion of new characters at the drop of a hat. Why not recycle old idea and make them your own. I've come to a conclusion with my characters at this stage, six is the magic number and now instead of making new characters I'm reinventing the old ones and giving them entirely new roles while retaining most if not all of there current personalities.
Let me know what you think and share your characters with me.
Finished
As of the 22nd of March I have official finished my novel "Collector of Souls". It's taken over two years and still requires months of editing but if it's read from start to finish it make sense.
I know I've got a lot of work to do to get it up to a professional level but right now I'm closer to that goal then I ever expected to be. Over time I plan to keep writing and improving but I doubt I'll be uploading more to DA for the time being.
If you are interested in reading more please do send me a note and I can send you a copy of what I've got so far. I'd love comments and feedback so if you're interested in reading a somewhat complete novel
My Character - Cecilia
Cecilia is my fifth of six characters and thinking about writing a summary of her designs has really got me thinking about my characters overall and how their stories work to reflect the designs. I've taken into serious consideration a kind of alternate world scenario in which all the characters can exist within their own stories but at the same time the stories are all linked by a common element and that common element is my character Rynn whom I've developed greatly over the past few weeks.
That said out of all my characters Cecilia is the only one who's entire story can be told in one world without the need for the alternate worlds concep
My Character - Rynn
At this point I had three characters already created from ideas I'd had for years but Rynn was different. Her idea came into existence and on a whim and I'm glad I took the leap with that character idea because at the time it was rubbish but now it's evolved into my favourite of all my characters. Variety is what keeps her interesting for me seeing as she works in so many settings and time periods. She is the key to all my fiction and without her I doubt I would have been able to bring all my characters together in to one cohesive story.
The key words for that sparked her design would have been steampunk, mechanic and older. Older being that
My Character - Isabelle
Everyone and their dog has characters, ideal people from their imagination created to fill a whole. Some people never bring these ideas to fruition, some however create stories with them, some draw their characters and I get other people to draw them for me.
Isabelle is my third character, she's an ever changing idea I've had for over ten years, a combination of concepts I like and a personality to strengthen the idea into a tangible character. Ironically I struggled with word in that sentence only to choose one that is the opposite of Isabelle, for you see Isabelle is intangible, a ghost if you will.
Back in early 2012 I re-imagined a char

Hi there, I just stumbled on this page from my friend's commission and I am surprised to see someone like you and your OCs. You got a lot of OC and you take care of their details one by one! Just curious, what do you usually do with your OCs? Do you makes comic/stories/game with them?
